Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SAPD Calls (the "Service") operated by Forte Apps LLC. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
SAPD Calls displays publicly released San Antonio Police Department active calls for service and related maps and optional proximity alerts. The Service is unofficial and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the City of San Antonio or SAPD.
Calls shown are limited to those released in the public feed (for example, where an assigned unit has arrived). Addresses are rounded. Mapping reflects a general area and may include nearby businesses or landmarks. Some calls are omitted due to privacy or release rules.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract and meet any minimum age shown in the App Store listing for your region. The Service is not directed to children under 13.
3. Accounts
Provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may require approval before access is granted and may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or risk to the Service.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for unlawful, harassing, or harmful purposes
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, scraping that degrades the Service, or interference with security
- Do not misrepresent affiliation with SAPD or the City of San Antonio
5. Location and notifications
Proximity alerts require location permission (and, if you enable them, background location and notifications). You can disable these features in system settings or in-app. Location is used only to evaluate nearby active calls when you subscribe to that feature.
6. Intellectual property
The Service software, branding, and site content are owned by us or licensors. Public SAPD call data remains subject to the source agency’s rules and disclaimers.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Call data may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Do not rely on the Service for emergency response — call 911 for emergencies.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $50, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
9. Changes and termination
We may modify these Terms or the Service and will post updates with a new effective date. We may suspend or discontinue the Service.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections apply.
